How did we like Encore Tropical Palms? First, let me explain a little bit about us and what we look for in a park. We are a full-time RV couple with no kids or pets. We tend to work during the week and explore on the weekends. We like to participate in some of the activities at the campgrounds and walk around in the evenings. Full hookups and good internet/cell connection are a very high priority for us.
When did we go? May 16, 2023 – May 30, 2023
The basics – There are over 340 sites, but I’ve heard that there are only about 20 Thousand Trails specific sites. There are a mix of full hook-up sites and non-sewer sites for Thousand Trails members. We were able to get full hook-ups. The internet is great here and we had no complaints about water, sewer or electric. It is included in the Thousand Trails membership and is a Thousand Trails park.
We have used RV Trip Wizard to plan every trip since we got on the road in November 2020. We love RV Life so much that we have partnered with them. If you're looking for a planner for your RV trip, this is what we use!
Amenities & activities in the park – There is a swimming pool, kiddie pool, a pool cafe, playground, a number of sports courts, 2 section dog park, mini golf course. This is a really nice park and we had a great time walking and biking around. We didn’t do any activities here and I’m not sure if they had any. It was a VERY busy time in my work life.
Activities outside of the park – This park is located behind Old Town in Kissimmee and we biked up a few times to walk around and check out things to do. You’re also in a pretty central location to all the fun of Orlando. This is one of the closest Thousand Trails parks to Disney World.
Groceries – We shopped at Aldi and Walmart while here.
Restaurants – Located right in Old Town, we especially loved Sakeba Asian Pub & Grill. There were SO many great restaurants within walking distance!
What we’ll do next time – We’ve spent a lot of time in this area but we still find so much to do. From restaurants to the theme parks to the shops, there is SO much to do!
